Loving Jamaica!

Loving Jamaica!

My daughter was playing at the garden with her friends when she passed thru our gate and got caught by the steel sticking out at the side of the lock. It was a good thing that it was just the sleeves of her dress that was torn and no scratch were inflicted in her skin. I would have to remember to call a offering welding supply company and asked that our iron gate be repaired. There are many offering welding companies in Jamaica that offer services like offering metal abrasives and offering welded chain link. I won’t have to look far since offering steel metal supplier is plenty in the vicinity.

We moved into our house five years ago when my husband was relocated here, in Jamaica. It was the perfect home for our unborn daughter that I’m still carrying at my belly at that moment. It was a two storey house with an attic. Surprisingly, the ceiling is quite higher than the normal height so our living room looks airy. My husband cared enough to remember that I get claustrophobic at times so he made sure that our home, even though small in size, is very spacious. It was painted with pastel colors. For our living room, the color is pastel yellow and green. For our bedroom, it’s pastel blue while for our daughter’s bedroom, it’s pastel pink. From the outside, it looks cozy. From the inside, it looks large and bright. The garden outside is also perfect with green Bermuda grasses growing in front of our house cascaded by our iron gate. A fountain and a swing were made at the center of the garden for our soon to be born daughter. The sunny weather is wonderful for morning joggings and afternoon walks in the park while the rainy season is great for indoor bonding with my family.

Ever since we lived here, every moment is like a dream come true. Seeing my daughter grow-up fast animatedly and having nice neighbors that delivers food into your doorstep every once in a while, is quite hard to find. Our move here is the best choice we made so far.

Help answer the question about welding supply

Can my boyfriend get a small student loan just for welding school supplies?
My boyfriend who is a veteran of the US Army, wants to go back to school to learn how to weld. He is getting his tuition payed for by the US but he doesn't think they will cover the cost of supplies. Apparently welding supplies can cost up to $1,000. We don't have that kind of money to shell out for school right now. We could make monthly payments and pay it off in
6 months or so. Also, we don't know too much about student loans and our options. He is really nervous to talk to financial aid because he doesn't like to admit he can't afford it all off the bat. I am going to make him call next week though for sure, even if I have to dial the number myself!

Anyways, does anyone know what our options are? Could he get a small student loan to pay off this amount? OR is there a way to get a credit card to pay this off, even if he has not so good credit?

Thank you!!

    The differences will be:

    1. They will speak more Spanish in Cabo ….
    2. It will actually be safer in Cabo …..
    3. The quality of Mexican hotels will be superior….

But don't worry at all top hotels practically everyone speaks English. As noted the security in Mexican resort areas especially premium ones like Cabo is second to none. And the Mexican tourist facilities are among the very highest standards in the world. (The water in Mexican resorts will be better than anything you can find in the US that doesn't come out of a sealed bottle!)

If you were happy with Jamaica, you will be just as happy if not more so in Cabo….

Been living here a LONG time and the scenery still amazes me. There are beautiful places that tourists usually see, then there are beautiful places in GENERAL and then there are some beautiful places you RARELY get to see here.

The most amazing thing in all of this is that LIFE goes on for people living around most of these beautiful places. You would think that life woudl be MISERABLE without many of the modern amenities that spoil us – from DishNetwork, to McDonald's, to Walmart and Macy's. The fact is that it IS NOT miserable. Nothing on McDonald's menu can outdo some of the fabulous seafood you'lll find in Jamaica…and guess which one is healthier?

The only sad thing is that to experience all or even most of Jamaica, you need to have lots of money.

I've been working with a few companies. They work with your budget and help you get exactly what you are looking for.

    One is Miles Morgan: http://www.milesmorgantravel.co.uk.
I found them by searching on yahoo for beach weddings.

The other company i found by going to an expo in London. Next time one is on you should try and go- they are so useful. This company is called Travel Designers and the lady i am dealing with, Althea, she used to live in Jamaica, i think. She specialises in Caribbean weddings and she has found a wonderful hotel for us called Half Moon in Montego bay- the hotel is quite expensive but they are very willing to try and bring their prices down.

I hope this helps, and if i can help with anything else, let me know.

I'm not from JA but love it ,I'm on here[Y/A]alot defending your beautiful island against the haters who say its dangerous -i'm from the USA and we have plenty of our own dangerous places and people too! The Jamaican people I have met through 25 yrs. of vacationing there are so beautiful and warm I truly consider many to be dear friends and look forward to visiting them every year. One example i can give you is a man who had to borrow a car to make a few dollars taxiing tourists and I were talking about fried plantains,He told me about his trees ,the very next morning he brought me some freshly picked, freshly fried plantains still hot and expected not a thing in return although he had so little-where else in the world will you meet people of that outstanding caliber-no where but Jamaica-shout out to Rupert ! Want to also mention that jamaican women are some of the most beautiful woman in the world, along with the gift of reggae music and a rich ,diverse culture -Big love to you all!

well seeing that you are jamaican you know about the strong heritage in jamaica but it seems that you dont know much about tourist attractions ….in jamaica we have numerous beaches ….many springs, waterfalls and historic places that you can visit so although jamaica is not as "developed " as the commonwealth state puerto rico (BOB) ….pr is basically the same as staying in america…in my opinion i think that jamaica is a better place to visit..

I love everything about the JA the people, the beaches the food and the fact that life can just be simple there. If you are hungry go buy a patty and cocobread or a nice roast breadfruit with ackee and saltfish for dinner…. you can sit in the evenings and watch a beautiful sunset or walk the beach. Or just walk down the road and chat with a neighbour or just listen to music being played by a "sound" up the road.I could go on forever. I love my country trust me its the best. I miss home can't wait to go back.
